Personal Narrative - essay jank sample of an English composition assignment

 

Most days are spent doing the same sorts of things. I go to work five days a week and care for animals at a neighborhood pet day care. When I come home, my time is divided between being a parent, watching television, and doing homework.

 

 

Two little boys occupy my home time. They are my beautiful twins who are in second grade and in the same classroom. When they get home, all they want to do is play together some more. I like to get in on the fun, too. We have a spacious backyard where all three of us run around. Of course, they do not tire as quickly as I do. Then again, they do not have to prepare dinner or get boys bathed!

 

When I need a break from all that playing and refereeing that parents are known to do, I like to sit in the den and stream my favorite TV shows. Our large, sixty-inch screen lets me escape to other worlds, other adventures. I try not to watch anything slow or boring, for I do not want to relax too much. There is still much to do before the day ends.

 

After the boys are asleep, I can concentrate on the online class I am taking. It is an English composition class, which means lots of practice writing. It takes up time, and it can be frustrating to make the tons of revisions needed for a proper paper. Learning to write well is worth it, though. It makes me feel powerful.

 

Every day is like the next. I work, parent, and study. This may seem mundane to a lot of people, but it is exciting to me. It is comfortable. I like my life, tremendously.
